NIghtwalking @ Rissim Contemporary
In collaboration with Bangsar neighbour, Richard Koh Fine Art, Rissim Contemporary is presenting the 9th solo exhibition of Penang-based artist, Hasanul Isyraf Idris, titled “Nightwalking” from the 15th of July until the 6th of August. The artist’s brightly coloured paintings feature moths in various stages of their abbreviated life cycles over clear starry nights and bold landscapes. The artist uses the moth’s journey to reflect upon his own thoughts about the stages of life, death, regeneration, and beyond.
Hasanul has exhibited his work many times in international collectives and fairs, including Volta Basel & New York, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Indonesia.
